Amber is the honey of nature. Amber is very ancient gem stone. It is created millions-millions years ago. 

I called it as honey, because they look very sweet, elegant and look very tasty like honey. Amber is one of the precious gem available on earth, and the value comes from its origin, millions year back origin. So don’t you feel precious if you have one in your hand as an amber ring? Amber formation is very interesting thing, when a tree is completely buried over by land or water, fossilization process begins. Fossils are nothing but the bones of any kind (Here by bones we means the tree structure). As time goes on the tree resin becomes fossilized and we know them as amber. Now we will turn our attention to the interesting thing in this process, Many times when the tree get buried under land some creatures also get captured with them. And the fossilization process enclose them in same state they were buries, that is like freeze animal. And amber gets formed around them. Remember the movie Jurassic Park, the dinosaur were created by such a fossil we are discussing. So think about you are holding a million year old creature in your hand by wearing an amber ring.

Fake Amber ring can be produced, and you never get to know if it is fake. Because the science behind it is very advance. Also it is possible to insert a creature inside this amber, making it very impossible to detect its originality. So how you are going to know if the amber ring in your hand is original or fake? It’s actually tricky and very simple, Amber posses a lovely scent, and to smell it, just rub it over some woolen cloth, if it is fake it will smell like plastic. So always test the amber by this method.

Amber is very rare. And its originality is a concern. But still it’s very famous as gemstone jewelry. It is used in Amber Rings, Amber Necklace and many jewelry forms. A fake amber jewel is also famous as it gives beauty of amber as well as very cheap cost. Another interesting thing about amber, it is used in many cultures as a magical property stone. And uses in amulets. Amber ring is used by men also, men amber rings are very famous, and if it is amber silver rings, then its a very beautiful one.

It’s not very difficult to take care of your amber jewelry, just remember few points in doing it so;

a) Use only water to clean the amber, with a soft cloth. If the amber is used as gemstone beads take special care of it.

b) Never use any chemical on amber: As it may Detroit it somehow.

c) Avoid high or low temperature contact with amber: It will damage it slowly. Also never put your green amber ring in sunlight for much time. It will reduce the color effect
